Northern Lawmaker Sponsors Circumcision of 130 Children as 'Constituency Project'

A member of the Green Chamber has reportedly adopted a very weird constituency project that has attracted media attention.

A member of the House of Representatives representing Katsina Federal Constituency, Sani Danlami, has paid the medical bill for circumcision of 130 children in his constituency.
 
An Hausa newspaper, Rariya, reported that it was part of the lawmaker’s constituency project.

The report said parents thronged to the hospital with their children in tow as the project kicked off in Shinkafi A and B wards.
 
According to the report, the children were also given drug handouts after the operation.
 
Meanwhile, Sani Danlami's camp has remained mum about the report which has gone viral.
