An officer of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) was on Tuesday, allegedly attacked by some riders of tricycle bikes, popularly called Keke NAPEP, in the Ikeja area of Lagos state.
According to DailyTrust, the LASTMA officer, whose name was given as Mr. Oyekan, was attacked while on duty at Acme Road in Ikeja, the state capital.
Oyekan sustained deep injury at the back of his head
He was later rescued by his colleagues and men of the Nigeria Police Force and taken to a hospital in Agege area of the state for treatment. He sustained deep injury at the back of his head.
It was learnt that the umbrella body of tricycle riders in the area has volunteered to dig out its members who masterminded the attack.
